From HCGOP Chair Chelsea Walsh

One thing I’ve learned over the last month and a half of being in this position (and something I’d previously pondered) is that we cannot control who gets elected to any positions outside our county and our state.
With that being said, I know there’s a lot of frustration when it comes to what’s going on with our national politics. Not so much for our own elected officials, but for those in other states. But I’d like to remind you to consider where our focus should be. Our focus should be on what’s happening here in our back yard. Our focus should be who sits on the school board, city council, our commissioners, and other elected officials WE VOTED to obtain these seats.
Only OUR representatives can be held accountable by us. So I implore you: turn off the TV and find a meeting or club to join to make a difference. Remember to focus on only those things you can control. We still have a lot of work to do coming off the 2020 election. I’m encouraged by the momentum and the enthusiasm we still have as a party despite all of the setbacks and frustrations.
I give you my best,
